Commitment to Fulfill God’s Purpose in Your Life
Isaiah 49:1, Jeremiah 1:5,
1. Commitment begins with the calling from God: (Isaiah 42:6-7, Rom 1:6, Mark 16:15)
· All born again Christians are called for his ministry.
· We were called to fulfill our purpose in life.
· We feel the ownership and duty in the calling from God
2. We should commit in the right way:
· Our commitment should be only towards God.
· God knows our every footstep even our hair is counted.(Luke 12:7)
· He knows us very well; we should commit ourselves in him.( Mathew10:30)
· We should commit only to something else which is from God.
3. To fulfill his plan in you God:
a) God will Use your past experience:
· Moses was called because of his past experience
· He knows the administration of Egypt very well.
· Likewise God will use your past experience whether it was good or bad.
b) God wants you to commit yourself by increasing your talents (Mathew 25:29)
· Our talents may be different from each other.
· To increase means we need to use that talent for God.
· When we use it for God we receive more from God. If we don’t use it God will take away
c) Your commitment should be beyond the church.
· Helping the poor.
· Faithful to your studies, work etc.
d) Be Patient:
· God isn't going to show you every piece of the puzzle all at once
· Wanting to know everything right this second is pretty common these days. Learning to trust that God will show you when He's ready—now that takes patience.
e) You should be faithful in your commitment: (I Kings 1:52)
· When we made commitment even to small things we should be faithful.
· Even in the absence of other God is there.
· Sometimes we have to say no to our friends and families if the idea is not from God.
· Sometimes it all sounds like a good idea from the world's view but it doesn't mean that it's God's plan for you.
f) Lastly, don't ever give up: (I Samuel 14:45),
· You may not know your specific purpose today or tomorrow
· As long as you're really great at being a born again Christian, and your heart is open, you will find God and he will find you.
God is Good All the Time :)
